My journey as a Beachbody coach started in 2010. I was a marathon runner at the time and I needed some cross-training that would help me get faster and stay injury free.  Prior to May 2010, I would have considered myself fit and healthy. I did the things I was supposed to do. I ate healthy foods. I went to the gym, ran and attended as many yoga classes as I could possibly fit into my schedule. But my clothes were tight and I was not motivated by my workouts.

My brother suggested I try the Beachbody Insanity workout, since it was designed for people like me, those who like a kick in the butt workout at a high intensity level. At first I was skeptical and my ego told me I’m better than a silly little DVD workout program. I’d witnessed the success he had with P90X, so for once in my life I decide to take a leap and go for it.

I started Insanity on May 1, 2010 and was immediately humbled. It wasn’t just a silly little DVD. This was by far the hardest workout I had ever done, and I’ve tried them all. I decided that if I was going to do it right, I was going to completely commit myself to the program and the nutrition plan. I kept a food journal and followed the workouts and nutrition plan as if I’d designed them. I immediately started to lose weight. In all my previous workouts, I would either maintain or gain, but I never lost weight.  I would always fall into the trap that as long as I was working hard, it didn’t matter the amount I was eating.

After Month One, I lost seven pounds and noticed quite a difference in my waistline. It became tighter as my pants became looser. At the end of Month Two, I was down 10 pounds and lost even more inches off my waist. My body fat dropped 4-5% and it completely changed my mindset about home dvd programs.

Being a runner, Insanity was the perfect cross-training. The interval training helped me get faster and my endurance increased dramatically. I started taking Shakeology in September 2010 and my weight once again started to drop. I went down a size in my pants. I gained so much energy throughout the day, even after a hard workout.

My results were truly “INSANE”! I lost 12 pounds and 4% body fat. I was so excited that I decided to become a Beachbody coach to help others have the same kind of results I did.

It came at the most perfect time in my life. Physically, I felt great, but I was in a job that had me emotionally defeated and miserable. I wasn’t able to even take my youngest son to school because I was stuck in a job I hated.

That’s when I began to see the potential of freedom of being a coach and within 11 months, I quit my full-time job and took a leap full speed ahead with coaching. For the next two years, I shared my passion while working part-time and in 2013, I became a full-time Beachbody coach. I could take my son to school and take him out out of daycare. I could schedule my own hours. I could do what I loved!

Today, I absolutely love what I do and I LOVE the freedom it’s provided for my family. We get to create amazing experiences together because I followed my heart and let go of my fears and decided that playing it safe was no longer in my cards. Dream Big. Go Big and Live the Life That I Love are my mottos I live and breathe today.

Influencer, Motivator, Warrior, Empowerment Coach. That’s me in a nutshell today. I still have fears. I still have doubts, but the difference now is I do it anyway. I know that in order to design the life I love, I have to make it happen rather than let life happen to me!!

So that’s my goal for you. To help you realize the potential you have. You really do. It’s my job to help you find that inside of yourself, to empower you to live the life you deserve and to help you understand that you are worthy of it all!

Here’s my quick story in a nutshell.
