So much of the time, we live in this world of comparisons. We see all the awesome in everyone else, and forget about all the awesome we have in ourselves. We focus on why we fall short, why we don’t live up to others and mostly we create a false story about who we really are.
Do you find yourself in these situations? Does it create anxiety? Do you sometimes feel like you’re not enough? Here’s my advice. Stop, Drop and Write.
Why you need an awesome list?
Start writing your awesome list. Here’s why? You’ll focus on your strengths. You’ll focus on the things you do that make you awesome (and you DO have things). I don’t care if it’s having the ability to make a fantastic homemade bread or typing 95 wpm (or texting 105 characters per minute), you have AWESOME in you.
Can you run a mile? Have you finished a race? Can you do 25 pushups? Whatever it is, it makes you awesome! Can you rock eight hours of sleep every night? (I’m working on that one!)
Go ahead. Get started. Don’t know where to start? Start with this…
Do you see where I’m going with this?
It starts with attitude, mindset, the way you look at things. If you see yourself as always falling short or if you focus on the bad, you’ll always be falling into one bad circumstance after another.
Start by changing the way you look at yourself. Find one thing that makes you awesome. Chances are you’ll find more and it will be easier than you think.
That’s when the magic happens. A shift. Your attitude changes when you see yourself in a new light. You stop worrying about what others are doing and you focus on YOUR potential.
So what’s your AWESOME LIST? Share it. What makes you Awesome?
