Max 30 Review

My transformation started in December with a simple decision.  I was tired of feeling bloated, not fitting in my jeans, and not feeling my best.  I was also tired of making excuses for the things I was eating.  It wasn’t bad.  It just wasn’t necessary and it was totally without intention.

So just a week after turning 40, when I just expected to be in the best shape ever…I found myself in a place I hadn’t been in several years.  Granted, it wasn’t awful, but I didn’t feel comfortable in my skin anymore.  I needed something that excited me and gave me a reason to want to commit!

I decided to say “YES” to Max 30

In 2010, when I started my journey, I had incredible with results with Insanity and after several rounds and trying several different programs over the years, I had never been able to get those kind of results again.  I kept finding myself constantly reverting to “what I had” and “what I accomplished.”  I finally realized, I needed to focus forward forget where I’ve been.  Max 30 could NOT have come at a better time!

The first day I pushed play with Shaun T was like coming home after a LOOOOONG vacation.  I felt like me again.  It was familiar territory.  I missed his motivation.  I missed pushing myself beyond my physical limitations.

I couldn’t wait to wake up in the morning.  That’s how much I loved his workout.  To “Max Out” means to push yourself to the point of “no more”.  So it’s a constant challenge both physically and mentally.  I wanted to be better every day.

Results keep you motivated.  So I was naturally motivated to focus on my nutrition as well.  When you start to feel well, you want to keep that feeling and it becomes more gratifying to push away the chocolate and the wine than it does to say, “Oh to hell with it!”

After 30 days, my body was changing!  I lost the bloating.  I was losing inches and gaining confidence again.

By Day 45, there was NO WAY I would let any obstacles get in my way!  I was traveling but took my workouts with me and even did some old Insanity via On Demand.  I took this screen shot of me during a workout and this is when I really started to notice how much my body was changing.

***Important to note*** I had only lost about five pounds up to this point, which is why the scale is such a non-factor.  My skinny jeans were fitting.  I was losing inches as I added lean muscle mass.

And by Day 60….I was totally confident.  I was rockin’ my abs, feeling awesome and ready to move on to my next program!  In 60 days I lost 5 pounds and 2″ off my waist.  But most importantly, I got out of my sweats and started feeling awesome in my jeans again!!
